MS Exchange Server Backup
Hot backup
A MS Exchange Server is continuously operational. Therefore Noverus can backup the Exchange database without interrupting business operations; even during the backup window.
MS Exchange Server API
The Noverus Client software uses MS Exchange Server API. This makes the backup more reliable than the ‘open file’ type of backup.
Automatic backup by schedule
Noverus acknowledges the need of a daily backup of the changes made in the MS Exchange Server database. The Client Software is capable of making an ‘incremental’ backup, so only the new email and calendar items are backed up.
Folder level backup
Next to the full MS Exchange Server backup, the client software also includes a plugin for the MS Exchange Server backup on folder level. This plugin is designed to facilitate an easy backup and fast restore of individual mailboxes, contacts, calendars etc.

Noverus Online Backup is available for both MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008.

MySQL Database Backup
Hot backup
A MySQL database server is continuously operational. Therefore, Noverus can backup the MySQL database without interrupting business operations, even during the backup window.
Backups on table level
Noverus Client Software is able to make backups up to table level. Therefore, system administrators are able to make selections of specific tables that contain important information. As a result data recovery can be performed faster and more focused.
Automatic backup schedule
Noverus acknowledges the need of a daily backup of the changes made in the MySQL database. Noverus Client Software is able to make ‘incremental’ backups, so only the new records are backed up from the database.
Availability
Noverus Online Backup is available for MySQL version 5.0 and higher.
Backups of Open Files
Noverus is capable of backing up open files. Leveraging Microsoft’s latest Volume Shadow-Copy Service (VSS) framework, you do not have to shut down any applications during the backup process. So e.g. your Word/Excel documents and even your Outlook files are backed up, even when they are in use.
Seed-load technology
Noverus supports an easy ‘seed-load’-technology, which allows the initial backup of a large volume of data to a local hard drive, which can be shipped to the Backup Server. This eliminates the first backup over the internet of hours/days/weeks. Of course, subsequent backups will be made incrementally over the internet. This method saves time and bandwidth.
Additionally, in case of a disaster, the backup data can also be restored using a local hard drive. This allows you to be back-in-business ultra-fast. This feature allows SLA-based disaster recovery as an additional service to the online backup service.
Of course, all backup data on a local hard drive is fully secured and encrypted.
